Belt weigh scale mainly consists of integrator,weighing bridge,weighing sensor,speed sensor and transmission lines and other components.The weighing bridge which is equipped with weighing sensor is installed on the longitudinal beam of the belt conveyor,weighing supporting roller supported by the weighing bridge,detect the weight of the materials on the belt,resulting in an output signal proportional to the belt load.Speed sensor is connected directly to the tail roller of conveyor or is installed on the large diameter cylinder at the bottom of the returning belt,it produces a series of pulse signals in operation,the output frequency of the pulse is proportional to the speed of the belt.Weighing sensor and speed sensor send its output signal to the integrator by transmission lines,then the integrator multiplies unit weight(kg/m) and speed(m/sec) of the materials,in order to get the get the instantaneous weight and accumulative weight of the materials,and displayed on a monitor.

The safe operation for belt conveyor of belt weigh scale should meet the following requirements:

( 1 ) The belt system should be set for manual and automatic interlocking control.

( 2 ) The initial of the belt system shall be provided with removing iron and debris facilities.

( 3 ) The belt should be installed with emergency shutdown device, the belt should have anti-reversal device slope.

( 4 ) The downpipe at the head of the belt should fortify the slip facilities.

( 5 ) Operation inspection personnel of the corresponding belt system should be trained qualified posts.
